Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterology Consultant to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will provide expert clinical care in gastroenterology, contribute to our academic environment, and help maintain our high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive consultative and therapeutic gastroenterology services

Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures

Manage complex gastrointestinal disorders and liver diseases

Develop and implement treatment plans for patients

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions

Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to their professional development

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Contribute to research activities and clinical trials when applicable

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and medical standards

Participate in on-call duties as scheduled

Required Qualifications

MD or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution

Specialty degree/board certification in Gastroenterology

Minimum 3 years of post-specialty experience in a governmental, semi-governmental, or teaching hospital

Valid medical license or eligibility for medical licensure in Qatar

Strong clinical experience in advanced endoscopic procedures

Excellent command of English; Arabic language skills are advantageous

Preferred Qualifications

Additional subspecialty training or fellowships

Experience in teaching hospitals or academic medical centers

Research experience and published works in peer-reviewed journals

Experience with advanced endoscopic procedures

Leadership experience in clinical settings
