Front Office Receptionist

Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a professional and customer-oriented Front Office Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our guests. This role is crucial in creating positive first impressions and ensuring a seamless guest experience from check-in to check-out.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and greet guests with a professional, friendly, and efficient approach

Process guest arrivals and departures using the Opera Property Management System

Manage room allocations, check-ins, check-outs, and guest accounts

Handle cash and card transactions accurately, maintaining proper documentation

Address guest inquiries and provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions

Manage reservations, including modifications and cancellations

Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure room readiness

Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate to management when necessary

Maintain guest records with accuracy and attention to detail

Process wake-up calls, messages, and mail for guests

Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times

Support other front office operations as required

Qualifications

Previous experience in hotel reception or front desk operations

Proficiency with Opera Property Management System

Currently based in the UAE with legal working status

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)

Strong customer service orientation with the ability to anticipate guest needs

Professional appearance and demeanor

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays

Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
