Job Description

Ashbrittle Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Finishing Specialist for a leading main contractor in Cairo, Egypt. The successful candidate will provide architectural quality control training and oversee finishing work on various high-end building projects. This role requires a hands-on approach and extensive experience in building, finishing, and MEP work.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Advice:

Investigate and offer technical advice on factors affecting building developments, including user needs, site surveys, and regulatory requirements.

Site Evaluation:

Conduct site visits to assess finishing work across multiple projects.

Monitor project snag lists and ensure customer requirements are met.

Quality Control:

Investigate and address architectural complaints, both internal and external.

Establish and manage a finishing risk register and lessons learned for each project.

Coordination:

Liaise with architects, Quality Managers, and other construction professionals.

Assist with consent processes and facilitate smooth project handovers.

Coordinate with building professionals and clients, agreeing on project briefs and conducting construction-stage risk assessments.

Reporting and Feedback:

Obtain and report feedback from clients and supervision consultants to the corporate team.

Requirements

Experience:

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in high-end building construction projects such as hotels or palaces.

Skills:

Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

High-level communication skills and problem-solving abilities.

Detail-oriented with extensive knowledge of architecture, building methods, and materials.

Attributes:

Ability to effectively communicate and report on project progress.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
