Position Overview

The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the organization's financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and internal control systems. This position combines strategic financial leadership with hands-on management of accounting processes and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

Oversee all accounting processes and maintain accurate financial records

Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities

Develop and implement internal control systems to safeguard company assets

Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management and board of directors

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators

Strategic Leadership

Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making

Provide insights and recommendations to senior management

Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with operational strategies

Lead and mentor the finance team to promote professional development

Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives

Compliance & Reporting

Ensure compliance with relevant laws and financial regulations

Oversee preparation of statutory and management accounts

Maintain robust internal control frameworks

Monitor and update financial policies and procedures

Stay current with financial regulations and best practices

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Master's degree or CPA preferred

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial management

Previous experience as Financial Controller or similar senior finance role

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations

Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems

Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities

Understanding of risk management and internal controls

Experience with financial planning and analysis
