About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our global organization's Dubai office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations and ensuring robust financial control mechanisms are in place.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the full spectrum of financial operations, including month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international accounting standards and local regulations

Oversee and develop a team of finance professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and training to ensure optimal performance and growth

Direct the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and analysis for senior leadership, ensuring timely and accurate reporting

Implement and maintain robust internal control systems and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance

Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies

Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial operations

Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency in financial reporting and control procedures

Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making

Required Qualifications

Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent)

3-5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in a similar role

Proven experience in financial control and year-end processes

Strong knowledge of IFRS and local UAE accounting requirements

Experience managing and developing teams

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

Experience working in a global, multi-cultural environment

Essential Requirements

Must have existing right to work in the UAE (sponsorship not provided)
