Brookfield Asset Management is looking for an Analyst, Finance to join its Global Financial Reporting team and report to the Director, Finance. Located in Brookfield's head office in Downtown Toronto, this is a highly visible position that provides a solid foundation and exposure to a progressive and dynamic career with a leading global asset management firm. The FA will actively participate in the consolidation and financial reporting of Brookfield and will support compliance, investor relations, and business planning and forecasting.
In this role, you will work closely with global business units to prepare consolidated financial statements and public documents on a quarterly and annual basis, including the Supplemental and MD&A, and present various analyses and reports for senior management, such as operating metrics and corporate financial results, to support their business decision-making. You will produce financial reporting deliverables provided to the Board and senior management, and support internal and external audit teams in relation to quarterly reviews, the annual audit, and SOX compliance. You will assist in preparing consolidated financial forecasts, tracking global operating results of subsidiaries, and articulating these results to key stakeholders, and collaborate regularly with operating business groups and various Brookfield departments. Continuously looking for efficiency in processes, tools, and reports, and assisting as needed with due diligence related to refinancing, ad-hoc analyses and presentations on financial and operating results, investor queries, and special projects, will also form part of your remit. Supporting Brookfield's quarterly valuation process, including in-depth review of models and long-term assumptions and the preparation of consolidated management presentations, rounds out the scope of this role.
The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Business or Finance, with a completed or in-progress recognized professional accounting designation (CPA). You bring one to three years of progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting functions, strong financial systems experience including advanced Excel skills, and leadership and interpersonal skills, along with a willingness to always support the team. You are highly organized and able to work in a dynamic, complex, and fast-paced environment, able to adapt quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlines. Strong communication skills that allow you to work effectively with all levels and departments within a complex organization, along with self-motivation and a proactive approach to managing workload and professional development, are essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, HFM, OneStream, and Workiva would be an asset.

CAD 75,000 to 90,000 per year
