Role Overview – Deloitte is hiring a Finance – Payroll Accountant for a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. This position is ideal for experienced accounting professionals with strong payroll accounting expertise, financial reporting capabilities, and the ability to manage payroll financial operations, ensure compliance, coordinate payroll processes, and support financial controls within a global professional services organization.

Payroll Accounting and Financial Processing – You will manage payroll accounting and financial processing by recording payroll transactions, maintaining payroll general ledger accounts, posting payroll journals, reconciling payroll accounts, managing payroll accruals and provisions, ensuring accurate financial recording of salaries, benefits, taxes, and other payroll-related transactions in accordance with accounting standards.

Payroll Financial Reporting – You will prepare payroll financial reports by consolidating payroll data, preparing payroll cost analysis, analyzing payroll expenses by department and cost center, preparing monthly payroll reconciliations, generating payroll variance reports, providing payroll financial insights to management, and supporting month-end and year-end financial reporting.

Month-End and Year-End Payroll Close – You will manage month-end and year-end payroll close processes by coordinating payroll closing activities, preparing payroll accruals and adjustments, reconciling payroll accounts with general ledger, verifying payroll accuracy, finalizing payroll provisions, meeting reporting deadlines, and ensuring timely, accurate payroll financial close.

Payroll Reconciliation and Variance Analysis – You will perform payroll reconciliation and variance analysis by reconciling payroll system data with financial records, investigating discrepancies, analyzing payroll variances month-over-month, identifying trends and anomalies, resolving reconciliation issues, and ensuring payroll data integrity and accuracy.

Payroll Tax Accounting and Compliance – You will manage payroll tax accounting by recording tax provisions, managing tax accruals, coordinating payroll tax compliance, ensuring accurate accounting for income tax withholdings, social security contributions, and other statutory deductions, preparing tax-related financial reports, and supporting tax audits and filings.
