The Company:

Robert Half is working on an exclusive basis with a leading investment firm based in Dubai.

The Role:

As Finance Manager, you will support the Associate Director of Finance in all finance matters, including building out the finance function for the department, exploring new reporting tools and systems as the portfolio grows, and preparing detailed financial analyses and reports. You will be responsible for:

Tracking periodic performance and cash flows against budgets and preparing monthly or ad hoc performance flash reports.

Supporting the investments team by reviewing portfolio management packs and providing finance inputs.

Assisting in the preparation of quarterly performance reports for leadership.

Creating insightful and innovative dashboards using MS PowerPoint and data analysis/visualization tools such as PowerBI.

Preparing the Annual Report and other materials for management/leadership committees.

Preparing planning instructions and action plans for the budget cycle.

Preparing the annual budget and business plan, liaising with investment companies as needed, and updating budgets in ERP systems.

Creating detailed financial models for new investments/divestments, including real-time scenario analysis.

Reviewing and validating capital call requests from funds and investments.

Ensuring up-to-date cash forecasting for expected invoices, payments, and dividends.

Developing controls for the funding process and ensuring compliance and timely payment settlements.

Resolving queries raised with investment funds and providing finance support for new transactions.

Preparing position papers on accounting matters in line with IFRS and reviewing IFRS-compliant financial statements.

Monitoring debt covenants compliance and reviewing commitments, contingencies, and financial guarantees.

Coordinating and supporting internal, government, and annual audits, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Working with outsource providers on compliance matters such as VAT, FATCA, and corporate tax.

Supporting intercompany recharge mechanisms and analyzing tax implications and optimization of complex transactions.

Requirements:

Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 3 years post-qualification experience.

CPA/CA/MBA/CMA/CFA or other recognized professional accounting qualifications.

Experience in (or auditing) a Private Equity/Asset Management company is strongly preferred.

Hands-on knowledge of IFRS and experience in financial statement analysis.

Experience with Oracle ERP, particularly Oracle's budgeting and consolidation modules (EPBCS and HFM/FCCS).

Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as PowerBI, Qliksense, Tableau, Spotfire.

Experience in finance transformation, including automation of month-end processes and data flows.

Excellent written and presentation skills in English.

Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, including VBA.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

Exposure to corporate tax structuring, particularly in a Private Equity/Investments setting.

Experience in the Real Estate and/or Financial Services industry.

Big 4 audit firm experience is preferred.
