Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Engineer to oversee and manage the maintenance operations of our facilities, including petrol stations, in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal facility performance while maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Operations

Oversee daily maintenance activities across all facility systems

Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs

Manage and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems

Monitor building automation systems and ensure optimal performance

Conduct regular facility inspections and assess maintenance needs

Develop and maintain maintenance schedules and procedures

Technical Management

Ensure proper functioning of all petroleum dispensing equipment

Oversee maintenance of fuel storage systems and associated infrastructure

Manage building control systems and automation technologies

Implement energy efficiency improvements

Monitor and maintain safety and environmental control systems

Safety and Compliance

Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and industry standards

Maintain updated documentation for all facility systems

Implement and monitor safety protocols

Conduct risk assessments and safety audits

Ensure compliance with local and international regulations

Team Leadership

Supervise maintenance staff and contractors

Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders

Manage vendor relationships and service contracts

Provide technical training and guidance to team members

Develop and monitor maintenance budgets

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or relevant field)

3-5 years of post-qualification experience

Minimum 2 years experience in Oil & Gas industry

Proven expertise in HVAC systems maintenance and operations

Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting

Experience with plumbing systems and maintenance

Proficiency in building automation systems

Understanding of plant ergonomics and safety standards

Required Skills

Strong technical problem-solving abilities

Excellent project management skills

Good communication and leadership abilities

Proficiency in maintenance management software

Knowledge of relevant safety codes and regulations

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Strong analytical and decision-making skills

Desired Attributes

Previous experience in petrol station maintenance

Knowledge of Qatar's building codes and regulations

Experience with computerized maintenance management systems

Familiarity with energy management systems

Multi-lingual capabilities (Arabic an advantage)

Working Conditions

Based in Qatar

May require on-call availability

Some evening and weekend work may be necessary

Possible exposure to various weather conditions

Site visits to multiple facilities required
