Position Overview

As an Executive Chef at an international facilities management company based at an Embassy in South Sudan, you will be responsible for overseeing all catering operations. This includes designing menus, training kitchen staff, ensuring the quality and freshness of dishes, and managing inventory. The role demands creativity in menu planning, adherence to food safety regulations, and effective leadership in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Menu Design: Create and design new recipes and menus, updating old dishes with new and exciting options to cater to diverse nationalities, with a focus on American and European cuisines.

Food Safety: Adhere to food safety regulations and stay updated on new health code regulations.

Staff Management: Hire, train, and manage all kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service.

Inventory Management: Order and manage food inventory and kitchen supplies, monitor daily food supplies, and ensure quality control.

Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of all food leaving the kitchen and oversee inventory management for incoming supplies.

Cost Analysis: Prepare cost analysis reports for inventory and kitchen equipment.

Requirements

Education: Degree in Culinary Arts.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef.

Skills: Ability to plan and prepare menus for a range of nationalities, with a focus on American/European cuisine.

Location: Willingness to work and live in a remote location in South Sudan.
