Technical Drawing Development:

The Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and plans for infrastructure and civil engineering projects based in Dubai. You will transform engineering concepts into precise CAD drawings that meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. This involves a thorough understanding of construction principles, geometry, and engineering methodologies to support the seamless execution of fieldwork.

Infrastructure Design Support:

In this role, you will assist engineers and project managers by developing accurate drawings for roads, utilities, drainage systems, and other major infrastructure components. You will coordinate with the design team to ensure all drawings reflect the correct dimensions, alignments, and construction details. Your ability to interpret survey data and site measurements will play a significant role in producing high-quality drawings that support efficient project planning.

Revision and Document Control:

You will manage the revision process of drawings, ensuring all updates, modifications, and corrections are properly documented and reflected in the final plans. This includes maintaining organized drawing logs, updating versions, and ensuring the construction team always works with the most recent information. Attention to detail and strong documentation habits are essential to prevent project delays and ensure accuracy.

Coordination with Project Teams:

The position requires active coordination with engineers, architects, surveyors, and site teams to gather design inputs and understand project requirements. You will participate in design review meetings, clarify drawing details, and support project teams by resolving any discrepancies in plans. Strong communication and teamwork skills will help maintain smooth collaboration across all project stages.

Compliance with Standards and Regulations:

You will ensure that all drawings adhere to Dubai municipality standards, infrastructure guidelines, and project specifications. This includes integrating safety considerations, regulatory requirements, and technical accuracy into every drawing you produce. Knowledge of local construction practices and regulatory frameworks is vital to ensuring compliance and avoiding rework.

Field Support and Site Verification:

The Draftsman may occasionally visit project sites to verify dimensions, collect data, and ensure that the drawings align with real site conditions. This hands-on approach ensures accuracy and strengthens coordination between the office and the field team. Your site understanding will enable better adjustments, improved planning, and accurate visual representation of engineering requirements.
