Overview:
The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) is renowned as one of the world’s leading performing arts academies, offering a diverse range of training in acting, dance, music, production, and arts management. As WAAPA prepares for its move to a new state-of-the-art campus in Yagan Square in 2025, we are seeking a Digital Content Coordinator to join our Marketing team. This role will play a key part in shaping WAAPA’s digital presence and showcasing our exciting performances, events, and student achievements.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Development: Create, curate, and manage engaging content for WAAPA’s website and social media, with a focus on productions, events, and student achievements.
Web CMS Management: Maintain and update WAAPA’s CMS website, ensuring content is accurate, relevant, and engaging.
Social Media Strategy: Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns to grow WAAPA’s online presence and audience engagement.
Analytics & Reporting: Monitor website and social media metrics, providing insights to improve digital strategies.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, students, and external partners to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all digital platforms.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of online marketing and digital content strategies.
Proven experience managing and maintaining a CMS website.
Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, CMS platforms, and social media content creation.
Familiarity with HTML, Javascript, Microsoft 365, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Ability to create engaging, high-quality digital content and execute social media campaigns.
Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently or as part of a team.
Understanding of usability, accessibility, and current web publishing standards.

Remuneration:
This part-time position offers a salary of $92,087 to $99,353 pro rata per annum, plus a 17% university superannuation contribution.
