Desktop Support Engineer

Job Description

Position Overview

IDC Technologies is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer Level 1 for a 2-month project assignment in Dubai. The ideal candidate should be immediately available and have their own UAE visa arrangement.

Project Duration

Initial contract: 2 months

Project-based engagement

Immediate start required

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support to end-users

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues

Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers and peripherals

Handle basic network connectivity issues

Manage user accounts and access rights

Respond to and resolve IT support tickets

Provide basic software support and installations

Document all support activities and solutions

Maintain IT inventory records

Assist with basic system updates and patches

Technical Requirements

Experience with Windows operating systems

Knowledge of basic networking concepts

Familiarity with common office software and applications

Understanding of IT security best practices

Experience with ticketing systems

Basic hardware troubleshooting skills

Required Qualifications

Relevant technical certification (A+, Network+, or equivalent)

Previous experience in desktop support role

Strong English communication skills

Valid UAE visa/work permit

Immediately available to start

Desired Skills

Experience with remote support tools

Knowledge of Active Directory

Basic understanding of IT security protocols

Experience with Microsoft Office 365

Customer service orientation

Problem-solving abilities

Documentation skills

Working Conditions

Full-time engagement during project duration

Office-based position in Dubai

Standard business hours

May require occasional overtime
