Duties & Responsibilities:

ECS | Enterprise Change Specialists is looking for an experienced Database Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management, data warehousing, and business intelligence platforms. The role involves working with various database technologies, ensuring the efficient organization, storage, and retrieval of data.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage data warehouses, including star schema architecture.

Work with databases such as Oracle and Amazon Redshift to maintain and optimize database performance.

Develop and maintain advanced SQL and PL/SQL scripts for database operations.

Collaborate with business intelligence teams to integrate databases with BI platforms like MicroStrategy and Tableau.

Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all database systems.

Monitor database performance and implement improvements for optimization.

Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.

Document database designs, configurations, and procedures for reference and future maintenance.

Stay updated with the latest database technologies and industry best practices.

Candidate Profile:

Preferred Candidate:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5 - 7 years of experience in database engineering and management.

Strong knowledge and experience with advanced SQL and PL/SQL.

Proficiency in working with databases such as Oracle and Amazon Redshift.

Experience in data warehousing and star schema design.

Knowledge of BI platforms such as MicroStrategy and Tableau.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
