The American University in Sharjah is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join its team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision-making and improve institutional performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to transform complex data into meaningful insights that support academic and administrative functions within a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst, you will gather, clean, and analyze data from various sources to generate actionable insights and support strategic initiatives. You will develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present findings clearly to stakeholders. Collaborating with different departments, you will identify data requirements, monitor key performance indicators, and support data-driven decision-making processes. Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security will be an essential part of your role. You will also identify trends, perform statistical analysis, and provide recommendations to improve processes and outcomes across the organization.

Requirements & Qualifications

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, along with proven experience in data analysis or a similar role. Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R is essential, along with experience in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Experience in an academic or institutional environment will be considered an advantage.
