Job Overview:

CG Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Manager to join our team, responsible for overseeing the commercial and cost management aspects of large-scale and prestigious real estate projects within a Facilities Management (FM) environment in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the financial success of the project by managing costs, ensuring contractual compliance, and implementing cost management strategies that align with the company’s goals.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Commercial Management:

Lead and manage all commercial aspects of the Facilities Management project, ensuring that financial objectives are met.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the contractual requirements of the project, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.

Act as the primary point of contact for all commercial matters, liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.

Cost Management:

Implement effective cost management strategies to control and reduce costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Prepare, monitor, and update project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, providing accurate and timely information to senior management.

Conduct regular cost reviews and audits to ensure that project expenditures are within the approved budget and identify areas for cost savings.

Oversee the preparation and submission of payment applications, ensuring timely payment from clients and accurate allocation of project costs.

Contractual Compliance:

Ensure that all contractual obligations are met, including the submission of required documentation, compliance with legal requirements, and adherence to agreed-upon timelines.

Manage variations, claims, and disputes, working closely with legal and contract teams to protect the company's interests.

Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential cost overruns or contractual issues.

Project Planning & Execution:

Collaborate with the project management team to develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and cost projections.

Monitor project progress, identifying any deviations from the plan and taking corrective actions as necessary.

Ensure that all financial aspects of the project are aligned with the overall project objectives, contributing to the successful delivery of the project.

Reporting & Analysis:

Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, including cost analysis, budget performance, and variance reports.

Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement in cost management practices.

Provide regular updates on the financial status of the project, including any potential risks or opportunities for cost savings.

Team Leadership & Development:

Lead and mentor a team of cost management professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high levels of performance.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the cost management team, encouraging innovation and the adoption of best practices.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to project management and cost control.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Educational Qualifications:

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or a related field is required. Advanced qualifications in cost management or Facilities Management would be an advantage.

Industry Experience:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in cost management, with at least 5 years in the Facilities Management industry.

Proven track record of managing costs for large-scale Facilities Management projects, particularly in remote or challenging environments.

Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge of cost management practices, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control.

Familiarity with industry-standard contracts and procurement methods, including FIDIC, NEC, and JCT contracts.

Proficiency in using cost management software and tools, such as CostX, SAP, or similar.

Personal Attributes:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on financial data.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to cost management.

Willingness to Relocate:

Candidates must be willing to work in a remote location within Saudi Arabia, with the flexibility to adapt to challenging working conditions.
