Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and managing project costs to ensure successful project delivery within budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain project cost control systems and procedures

Prepare and analyze cost reports, forecasts, and budgets

Monitor project expenses and identify cost variances

Create and maintain cash flow projections

Analyze trends and prepare cost performance reports

Review and validate contractor payment applications

Identify potential cost overruns and propose mitigation strategies

Participate in project planning and scheduling activities

Prepare cost estimates for change orders and variations

Monitor and report on project progress against planned expenditure

Coordinate with project managers and site teams for cost data collection

Maintain cost control documentation and records

Assist in the preparation of monthly progress reports

Support the tender evaluation process

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Minimum 3 years of experience in cost control or related role

Proficiency in cost control software:

Primavera

Microsoft Excel (advanced level)

SAP

Valid transferrable residency in Kuwait

Strong analytical and mathematical skills

Experience in construction industry cost management

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management

Professional certifications in cost engineering or project management

Experience with local construction market rates

Knowledge of contract administration

Familiarity with FIDIC contracts

Experience in government projects
