Role Overview: The British International School of Elite Education is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Cooking Teacher to educate students in culinary skills, food preparation, and healthy eating habits. This role involves developing and delivering engaging cooking lessons, fostering creativity in the kitchen, and promoting food safety and hygiene.

Curriculum Development and Delivery: You will develop and deliver a comprehensive cooking curriculum that aligns with the school’s educational goals and introduces students to a variety of cooking techniques, cuisines, and nutritional concepts.

Practical Cooking Instruction: You will provide hands-on cooking instruction, guiding students through the preparation of various dishes while emphasizing essential culinary skills, knife skills, and cooking methods.

Promoting Food Safety and Hygiene: You will educate students on the importance of food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring they understand and adhere to safe food handling and preparation procedures.

Nutritional Education: You will integrate nutritional education into your cooking lessons, teaching students about healthy eating habits, balanced diets, and the nutritional value of different ingredients.

Creating a Positive and Collaborative Learning Environment: You will create a positive, safe, and collaborative learning environment in the kitchen where students feel encouraged to experiment, learn from their mistakes, and develop their culinary skills.

Assessment and Feedback: You will assess student learning through practical cooking tasks, participation, and potentially written assignments, providing constructive feedback to support their culinary development.

Collaboration and Communication: You will collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate food-related topics into other areas of the curriculum and communicate effectively with parents about their child's learning in cooking classes.
