This position is tailored for a seasoned commercial practitioner residing in Qatar who possesses proven experience navigating Ashghal contract administration and consultancy oversight.

The core responsibilities of this position focus on administering client contracts, managing commercial claims, and ensuring strict adherence to contractual terms across assigned Ashghal project packages. Daily activities include reviewing extension of time submittals, evaluating contractor variation orders, drafting formal contractual correspondence, and advising project directors on commercial exposure. The Contract Specialist will assist in dispute resolution proceedings, conduct post-contract commercial audits, verify payment applications against progress milestones, and ensure all contract management activities conform strictly to Ashghal guidelines and Qatari statutory regulations.

Candidates applying for this role must demonstrate 14 or more years of dedicated experience in contract administration, quantity surveying, or commercial management within the construction and civil infrastructure sector. A degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Direct prior experience working on Ashghal projects within an engineering consultancy environment is strictly mandatory.
