About the Role:

SSMC is seeking a highly skilled Trauma Surgery Consultant to lead our Level 1 Trauma Center. This senior position requires an accomplished surgeon capable of managing complex poly-trauma cases while advancing our trauma care protocols and mentoring surgical teams.

Clinical Leadership:

The Consultant will provide expert surgical management of critically injured patients, overseeing the complete continuum of trauma care from emergency resuscitation to definitive surgical intervention and critical care management. Your expertise will drive clinical excellence in our state-of-the-art trauma facility.

Academic Requirements:

Candidates must hold an MD or equivalent medical degree with board certification in General Surgery and Trauma Surgery from recognized international boards (ABTS, FRCS, or equivalent). Additional fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care is highly desirable for this leadership position.

Operational Responsibilities:

You will lead multidisciplinary trauma teams during emergency activations, establish evidence-based clinical protocols, and participate in trauma quality improvement initiatives. The role includes supervising trauma registries and contributing to regional trauma system development.

Research & Education:

This position offers opportunities to lead clinical research projects and educate surgical residents and fellows. We value consultants who actively contribute to advancing trauma surgery knowledge through publications and conference participation.

Candidate Profile:

Ideal applicants possess 10+ years of trauma surgery experience with demonstrated leadership in high-volume trauma centers. UAE medical licensure (DHA/HAAD/MOH) and ATLS instructor certification are mandatory for this Tier 1 consultant role.
