Anesthesia/Pain Management

Pulmonology/Sleep Medicine

Interventional Cardiology

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualifications:

Medical Degree: A primary medical qualification (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized medical school.

Postgraduate Training: Completion of a recognized internship program (usually one year).

Specialization: For specialists, a relevant postgraduate qualification (such as a residency or fellowship) from a recognized institution.

Professional Experience:

General Practitioners (GPs): Typically, 2-3 years of clinical experience post-internship.

Specialists: Generally, 3-5 years of experience in the specific field after obtaining the specialization degree.

Licensing and Examinations:

DataFlow Verification: Primary source verification of educational qualifications and professional experience.

Exams:

Prometric Exam: A computer-based test that assesses clinical knowledge and skills.

Oral Examination: Conducted for some specialties to assess the practical application of medical knowledge.

Good Standing Certificate: A certificate from previous licensing authorities proving that the physician has no history of professional misconduct.

Language Proficiency:

English Proficiency: Competence in English, as most medical practices in the UAE use English. Some positions may also require proficiency in Arabic.

Licensing Authorities:

Physicians must apply for licensure through the relevant health authority depending on their practice location:

Dubai Health Authority (DHA): For Dubai.

Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD): For Abu Dhabi.

Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP): For other emirates.

Additional Qualifications:

European qualifications are accepted.
