About the Opportunity:

SSMC invites applications for a Tier 1 Consultant Oncological Surgeon to lead our comprehensive cancer surgery program. This senior position offers the opportunity to pioneer advanced surgical oncology techniques within a state-of-the-art tertiary care facility serving the UAE population.

Clinical Leadership:

The Consultant will provide expert surgical management for complex oncological cases across multiple tumor streams. Your responsibilities include performing specialized cancer resections, directing multidisciplinary tumor boards, and implementing evidence-based surgical protocols to optimize patient outcomes.

Academic Requirements:

Candidates must hold an MD or equivalent degree with board certification in Surgical Oncology from internationally recognized institutions. Fellowship training in oncological surgery from a Tier 1 academic medical center is mandatory, with subspecialty expertise in specific cancer types preferred.

Professional Experience:

The position requires minimum 10 years post-fellowship experience in high-volume oncological surgery, including leadership roles in academic medical centers. Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in advanced techniques including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted cancer surgeries.

Research & Education:

As a Tier 1 Consultant, you will lead clinical research initiatives and mentor surgical fellows. Your role includes contributing to SSMC's academic mission through publications, conference participation, and the development of specialized oncology training programs.

Regulatory Compliance:

Current Tier 1 DHA/HAAD licensure or eligibility is essential. The successful candidate will maintain the highest standards of surgical care while ensuring compliance with international oncology guidelines and UAE healthcare regulations.
