About the Role
As a Compliance Officer within our banking operations in Dubai, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our institution's integrity by ensuring all activities adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. This position serves as the cornerstone of our risk management framework, helping to maintain trust with customers, regulators, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Oversight and Monitoring
Conduct systematic call monitoring to ensure customer interactions comply with regulatory guidelines and internal protocols
Perform comprehensive sales monitoring to prevent misselling and ensure transparent financial advice
Maintain vigilant oversight of the clean desk policy to protect sensitive information and customer privacy
Oversee thorough implementation of onboarding and offboarding processes to maintain access control integrity
Reporting and Documentation
Prepare and submit required bank reporting to regulatory authorities with precision and timeliness
Document compliance violations and implement corrective action plans
Maintain accurate records of all compliance activities for audit purposes
Create detailed compliance reports for senior management review
Training and Development
Design and deliver compliance training programs to ensure staff awareness of regulations
Provide ongoing guidance to teams regarding evolving compliance requirements
Develop educational materials that translate complex regulations into practical guidelines
Conduct regular refresher sessions on critical compliance topics
Regulatory Knowledge Management
Stay current with UAE Central Bank regulations and international banking standards
Interpret regulatory changes and assess their impact on banking operations
Collaborate with legal teams to ensure alignment with local and international banking laws
Implement systems to track regulatory changes and ensure timely compliance
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or related field
Prior experience in banking compliance, risk management, or related regulatory role
Knowledge of UAE banking regulations and international compliance frameworks (FATCA, AML, KYC)
Technical Competencies
Strong understanding of banking operations and products
Proficiency in compliance monitoring systems and reporting tools
Ability to analyze large datasets to identify compliance trends and risks
Experience with regulatory documentation and filing requirements
