Job Description

Food Preparation Support  The Commis will assist in daily kitchen food preparation activities by following standard recipes and chef instructions. This role supports smooth kitchen operations by preparing ingredients such as vegetables, sauces, marinades, and basic mise en place while maintaining consistency and quality standards.

Cooking and Presentation Standards  The role requires following established cooking procedures, portion control guidelines, and food presentation standards. The Commis will ensure that every dish meets the brand’s quality expectations while supporting senior chefs during service hours.

Kitchen Hygiene and Cleanliness  Maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment is a core responsibility. The Commis will ensure workstations, equipment, and storage areas are cleaned regularly and comply with food safety and health regulations.

Operational Discipline  The position demands punctuality, discipline, and respect for kitchen hierarchy. The Commis is expected to follow instructions accurately, work efficiently under pressure, and contribute positively to a structured kitchen environment.

Service Time Efficiency  During busy service periods, the Commis will work efficiently to support food production while maintaining quality and safety standards. This includes assisting with plating, coordinating with team members, and responding quickly to service demands.

Learning and Skill Development  The role offers continuous learning opportunities through hands-on kitchen experience. The Commis is expected to accept feedback positively, show willingness to improve skills, and grow professionally within a multi-brand restaurant environment.
