Overview:

Alfardan Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our finance team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record in a similar or higher-level accounting role. Experience in the landscape and irrigation industry will be an additional advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.

Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors.

Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.

Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

Leadership and Team Management:

Lead and mentor a team of accountants and finance professionals.

Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and foster a collaborative work environment.

Develop and implement training programs for the finance team.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Develop and manage annual and multi-year budgets.

Provide financial analysis and forecasting.

Identify, develop, and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches, and/or new service offerings.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations.

Prepare and file annual tax returns and ensure timely payments.

Liaise with external auditors and ensure proper audit procedures are followed.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management.

Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.

Operational Efficiency:

Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.

Evaluate accounting and internal control systems.

Identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary changes.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized university.

Fully or partly globally recognized professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, ACMA, or CMA.

Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience at a similar or higher level.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Experience in any industry is acceptable, but experience in the landscape and irrigation industry will be an advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
