Every construction project has a financial story. The materials ordered, the subcontractors paid, the variations priced, the margins protected. Behind every successful project is a Chief Accountant who understands that numbers are not just records. They are the foundation on which decisions are made. Ignite Search & Selection, a specialist recruitment agency founded in 2010 with offices in the UK and Dubai, is looking for a Chief Accountant to join a construction and infrastructure client based in Jebel Ali. This is a role for a finance professional who understands the construction sector and takes pride in keeping the financial engine running smoothly.

This is a senior role for someone with proven experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector. You will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, preparing financial reports and conducting research and analysis to support business decisions. You will establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, and manage VAT and internal audit processes. You will also handle currency convergence across multiple entities and ensure accurate financial data management. If you are comfortable managing a team, training staff, and working with large volumes of data, this role will suit you.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. You have advanced skills in MS Office and accounting software such as Xero, and you have a proven understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. Experience with e-commerce platforms or construction accounting is a strong advantage. You are detail-oriented, organised, and capable of working independently while leading a finance team.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Jebel Ali, Dubai. The salary is up to AED 25,000 per month.
