Cashier / Accounts Receivable

Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cashier/Accounts Receivable professional to join our finance team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring efficient accounts receivable operations while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Process and accurately record all daily cash, credit card, and electronic payment transactions

Manage and monitor accounts receivable, including timely collection of outstanding payments

Perform regular account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly

Post transactions to the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner

Participate in month-end closing procedures related to AR and cash management

Maintain organized digital and physical records of all financial documents including invoices, receipts, and payment records

Generate and analyze aging reports, following up on overdue accounts

Prepare regular financial reports and assist with audit requirements

Handle customer inquiries regarding payments and account status professionally

Implement and maintain proper cash handling procedures and security measures

Assist with bank deposits and cash flow management

Support the broader Finance team with various accounting tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role

Experience in hospitality or service industry preferred

Strong understanding of accounting principles and cash handling procedures

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and collection procedures

Experience with payment processing systems and POS software

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, formulas)

Experience with accounting software

Knowledge of payment processing systems

Familiarity with banking software and procedures

Additional Requirements

Must be eligible to work in the UAE

Strong English language proficiency (written and verbal)

Arabic language skills are a plus

Working Conditions

Full-time position based in Dubai

Regular business hours with occasional flexibility required
