Job Description
Role Overview – The Royal Academy, Ajman is seeking a qualified and passionate Cashier to join our supportive and dynamic educational team. This position is ideal for professionals committed to student learning and academic excellence who can manage financial transactions efficiently within a respected educational institution.
Financial Transactions Management – You will handle all cashier operations including processing fee payments, issuing receipts, managing cash registers, processing refunds, maintaining accurate transaction records, and ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed throughout daily operations.
Fee Collection and Processing – You will collect school fees, tuition payments, and other educational charges from parents and students, process transactions through various payment methods including cash, card, and bank transfers, verify payment accuracy, and maintain organized financial documentation that supports the academy's accounting systems.
Daily Cash Management – You will balance cash registers daily, prepare cash reports, reconcile transactions, verify cash drawer accuracy, deposit collections, report discrepancies, and ensure financial integrity through meticulous record-keeping and adherence to accounting procedures established by the academy.
Parent and Student Service – You will provide professional customer service to parents and students, respond to payment inquiries, explain fee structures, resolve billing concerns, coordinate with the accounts department, and maintain courteous and helpful interactions that reflect the academy's commitment to excellence.
Financial Documentation and Reporting – You will maintain accurate records of all transactions, prepare daily financial reports, organize receipts and payment documentation, support month-end reconciliation processes, and ensure all financial activities are properly documented for audit and accounting purposes.
System Operations – You will operate cashier software and point-of-sale systems, process digital payments, generate transaction reports, maintain student payment records in the school management system, and ensure accurate data entry across financial platforms used by the academy.
Requirements – Relevant attested educational qualifications and UAE equivalency certificate are mandatory. Strong commitment to student learning and academic excellence. Previous cashier or accounting experience, preferably in educational institutions. UAE experience preferred. Strong numerical accuracy, cash handling expertise, customer service skills, attention to detail, and computer proficiency are essential for success in this role.
