Job Description

Overview

Join Tura, a dynamic national arts organization, as our Business Manager. This pivotal role supports our executive partnership and manages the business operations that enable our artistic and cultural development work across Australia, with particular focus on First Nations collaborations in remote and regional areas.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Manage general business operations, cultural and operational governance

Implement and maintain organizational plans, systems and compliance

Support project management and documentation of artistic programs

Financial Administration

Oversee financial reporting and budget management

Develop grant applications and complete funding acquittals

Monitor financial compliance and organizational sustainability

Stakeholder Engagement

Facilitate communication with First Nations collaborators and diverse stakeholders

Support partnerships with contractors, service providers and partners across Australia

Uphold cultural protocols and governance obligations including Indigenous Cultural Intellectual Property (ICIP)

Human Resources

Assist with HR processes and team coordination

Contribute to building a positive and productive team culture

Support the executive partnership in organizational development

Required Skills & Experience

Demonstrated business management experience in community cultural development and/or creative industries

Proven track record working with First Nations artists and community organizations

Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in arts/business management

Strong knowledge of and respect for First Nations cultures and protocols

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across diverse stakeholder groups

High-level computer literacy and administrative capability

Demonstrated budget management experience

Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team

Strong time management, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities
