Business Development Manager: NVOCC Expertise: As a Business Development Manager specializing in NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) and Liner Agency operations, you will play a crucial role in driving the company’s growth strategy across regional and international markets. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and establish new business opportunities while strengthening existing relationships with clients, freight forwarders, and shipping partners. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth and efficient logistics operation that aligns with customer expectations and company goals.
Client Relationship Management: The role demands an individual who can develop and maintain long-term partnerships with key clients and stakeholders. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, negotiating rates, preparing customized shipping solutions, and ensuring service excellence. By proactively engaging with clients, you will enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to business retention and expansion.
Market Expansion and Strategy: This position requires strong market analysis and competitive insight to identify emerging trends and potential trade lanes. You will be expected to create strategic business development plans, monitor competitor activities, and explore partnership opportunities to expand the company’s NVOCC and liner agency network within the UAE and across global markets.
Operational Coordination: Collaboration with the operations, documentation, and finance departments is vital to ensure seamless cargo movement and service delivery. You will oversee the coordination of import/export operations, ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, and support the optimization of freight forwarding activities. Your leadership will help align business development objectives with operational capabilities.
Sales and Revenue Growth: You will be responsible for setting and achieving revenue targets through continuous business prospecting, negotiation, and closing deals with corporate clients. The position involves conducting client presentations, managing RFP/RFQ submissions, and ensuring that sales targets are consistently met. Your innovative approach to sales and customer management will drive sustained growth.
Team Leadership and Development: The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership qualities to mentor, train, and guide junior sales and operations team members. You will foster a culture of collaboration, performance, and accountability within your department. By leading through example, you will ensure the team’s efficiency and motivation align with organizational success.
