The role contributes directly to business growth by strengthening Deliveroo’s value proposition and ensuring customers gain access to the best retail and food offerings in the region.

Market Development : The role focuses on mapping territories, identifying emerging retail categories, and prospecting new business opportunities. As a category-level expert, the Business Development Manager continuously monitors market trends, competitor activity, and partner potential to create a strong and sustainable pipeline. This proactive approach ensures Deliveroo remains ahead in capturing high-value partnerships.

Partner Engagement : Building strong relationships with retail partners is central to this role. Through in-person meetings, digital communication, calls, and industry networking, the manager clearly demonstrates Deliveroo’s technology, logistics capabilities, and commercial benefits. Effective communication ensures partners understand the platform’s long-term value and growth potential.

Sales and Negotiation : The position requires ownership of the entire sales cycle, from pitching to closing agreements. The Business Development Manager applies strong negotiation skills to structure mutually beneficial commercial terms that align with partner goals and Deliveroo’s business objectives.
