Job Description

Role Overview – Deloitte is hiring a Business Analyst for a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. This position is ideal for analytical, detail-oriented professionals with strong business analysis expertise, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to gather requirements, analyze processes, document solutions, and support business transformation initiatives within a global professional services and consulting environment.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis – You will gather and analyze requirements by conducting stakeholder interviews, facilitating requirements workshops, documenting business needs, analyzing current state processes, identifying pain points and improvement opportunities, defining functional and non-functional requirements, and ensuring comprehensive understanding of business objectives and project scope.

Business Process Analysis and Mapping – You will analyze and map business processes by documenting current state processes (as-is), creating process flow diagrams, identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks, conducting gap analysis, designing future state processes (to-be), developing process improvement recommendations, and supporting business process reengineering initiatives.

Stakeholder Management and Communication – You will manage stakeholders and communication by engaging with clients, business users, project teams, and management, facilitating meetings and workshops, managing stakeholder expectations, presenting findings and recommendations, coordinating requirements validation, and maintaining clear, consistent communication throughout project lifecycles.

Documentation and Specification Preparation – You will prepare documentation and specifications by creating business requirements documents (BRD), functional requirements specifications (FRS), use cases, user stories, process documentation, solution design documents, and technical specifications, ensuring comprehensive, clear documentation that supports development and implementation.

Data Analysis and Reporting – You will conduct data analysis and reporting by analyzing business data, creating data models, identifying trends and insights, preparing analytical reports, developing dashboards and visualizations, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, and providing data-driven insights to support decision-making.

Solution Design and Recommendations – You will design solutions and develop recommendations by evaluating options, assessing feasibility, analyzing costs and benefits, defining solution approaches, recommending technology solutions, creating business cases, and presenting strategic recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Coordination – You will coordinate user acceptance testing by developing UAT plans and test scenarios, creating test cases and scripts, coordinating testing activities with business users, documenting test results, tracking defects and issues, managing UAT cycles, and ensuring solutions meet business requirements.

Change Management Support – You will support change management by assessing change impacts, developing change management plans, creating training materials and documentation, supporting user training and adoption, facilitating change communications, and ensuring smooth organizational transitions during implementations.

Project Coordination and Support – You will coordinate and support projects by tracking project progress and milestones, managing project documentation, coordinating deliverables, supporting project managers with administrative tasks, updating project plans, monitoring risks and issues, and ensuring projects stay on track.

System and Technology Analysis – You will analyze systems and technology by evaluating software applications, assessing system capabilities, identifying integration requirements, understanding technical architectures, coordinating with technical teams, and bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

Financial and Performance Analysis – You will conduct financial and performance analysis by analyzing financial data, tracking KPIs and metrics, preparing performance reports, conducting variance analysis, identifying cost-saving opportunities, measuring ROI, and providing insights on business performance.

Client Engagement and Consulting Support – You will support client engagements by participating in consulting projects, conducting research and analysis, preparing client presentations, supporting proposal development, contributing to deliverables, and maintaining professional client relationships.

Quality Assurance and Review – You will ensure quality assurance by reviewing deliverables for accuracy and completeness, validating requirements against business needs, conducting peer reviews, ensuring adherence to standards and methodologies, implementing quality control processes, and maintaining high-quality outputs.

Agile and Waterfall Methodologies – You will work with various methodologies by supporting Agile projects (writing user stories, participating in sprint planning, attending stand-ups), supporting Waterfall projects (traditional SDLC phases), adapting to project methodologies, and applying appropriate business analysis techniques.

Industry Research and Best Practices – You will conduct industry research by analyzing market trends, benchmarking best practices, researching industry standards, staying current with business analysis trends, identifying innovation opportunities, and bringing external insights to client engagements.

Facilitation and Workshop Leadership – You will facilitate workshops and meetings by preparing agendas, moderating discussions, capturing requirements and decisions, managing group dynamics, driving consensus, documenting outcomes, and ensuring productive, collaborative sessions.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation – You will drive continuous improvement by identifying process optimization opportunities, recommending automation solutions, supporting digital transformation initiatives, implementing best practices, contributing to methodology development, and fostering innovation in business analysis approaches.

Business Analyst Experience (Mandatory) – Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Process Analyst, or in a similar business analysis role is mandatory. Your background should demonstrate hands-on experience gathering requirements, analyzing processes, and supporting business projects.

Requirements Gathering and Documentation (Mandatory) – Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills are mandatory. You should be experienced in conducting stakeholder interviews, facilitating workshops, creating BRDs/FRS, developing use cases and user stories, and producing comprehensive business analysis documentation.

Business Process Analysis (Mandatory) – Strong business process analysis skills are mandatory. You should be capable of documenting processes, creating process flows (using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or similar), conducting gap analysis, and identifying process improvements.

Stakeholder Management (Mandatory) – Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are mandatory. You should be capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders, managing expectations, facilitating discussions, presenting findings, and building productive relationships.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills (Mandatory) – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are mandatory. You should be capable of analyzing complex business problems, identifying root causes, evaluating solutions, conducting cost-benefit analysis, and developing practical recommendations.

Communication and Presentation Skills (Mandatory) – Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are mandatory. You should be articulate, clear, and capable of creating professional documentation, preparing presentations, explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and communicating effectively with clients and teams.

Professional Services/Consulting Experience (Preferred) – Experience in professional services, consulting, Big 4 firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG), or consulting organizations is preferred. Understanding of consulting project delivery, client engagement, and professional services business models is valuable.

Industry Experience (Preferred) – Industry-specific experience (financial services, technology, healthcare, government, retail, telecommunications, or other sectors) is preferred. Domain knowledge enhances business analysis effectiveness and client value delivery.

Systems and Technology Knowledge (Preferred) – Good understanding of systems and technology including ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), CRM platforms (Salesforce), business intelligence tools, databases, and software development concepts is preferred. Technical awareness enhances solution design capabilities.

Data Analysis and Visualization (Preferred) – Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables), SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is preferred. Data analysis skills enhance analytical capabilities.

Agile and SDLC Knowledge (Preferred) – Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and project management frameworks is preferred. Experience writing user stories, participating in sprints, and working in Agile environments is valuable.
