Job Overview: The BMS Operator at Facilitx Facility Management & Maintenance will be responsible for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing building systems to ensure energy efficiency, safety, and comfort. The role demands a professional with strong technical skills in centralized building automation systems, capable of responding to alarms, adjusting settings, and identifying potential faults before they escalate.

System Monitoring: You will operate and maintain the Building Management System (BMS) to monitor HVAC, lighting, fire alarms, and other integrated systems. The position requires round-the-clock vigilance to ensure smooth system performance and timely reporting of abnormalities to the engineering team.

Troubleshooting & Adjustments: Your responsibilities will include diagnosing system issues, performing minor adjustments, and escalating technical faults to specialized maintenance teams. A solid understanding of networked control systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is essential to handle day-to-day operational demands.

Preventive Maintenance: The role includes scheduling and executing preventive maintenance tasks within the BMS framework, ensuring the optimal performance of all connected systems. This involves regularly updating system logs, backup configurations, and fine-tuning parameters for efficiency.

Safety and Compliance: You must comply with Qatari safety regulations and company policies when performing operations. Ensuring that all BMS activities align with environmental and safety standards will be crucial to maintaining certifications and operational approvals.

Communication & Reporting: The position requires accurate reporting of daily system status, alarm history, and maintenance records. You will work closely with supervisors, HVAC teams, and electrical engineers to ensure issues are resolved promptly while keeping clients informed of major developments.
