Synnect is seeking a skilled Azure Data Analyst to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in economic data and market analysis within the UAE, coupled with extensive experience in Azure's data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze complex datasets, focusing on economic data and market trends in the UAE

- Develop and maintain data models using Azure's data platforms, including Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse Analytics

- Create insightful and interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights

- Implement and maintain data quality and governance practices

- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis

- Utilize Python or R for advanced data analysis and statistical modeling

- Assist in the development of machine learning models using Azure Machine Learning

- Stay current with the latest trends in data analytics and Azure technologies

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field

- 3+ years of experience as a data analyst, preferably with a focus on economic and market analysis in the UAE

- Strong proficiency in Azure's data platforms, including Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse Analytics

- Advanced skills in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis

- Expertise in data visualization using Power BI or similar tools

- Experience with data governance practices and familiarity with Microsoft Purview

- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and experience with Azure Machine Learning is a plus

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

- Strong communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
