Duties & Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have experience auditing several business functions within hospitality, retail, and corporate settings. This includes:

HR Auditing: Review HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.

Finance Auditing: Conduct comprehensive audits of financial statements, internal controls, and accounting processes to ensure accuracy, transparency, and adherence to financial standards.

IT Auditing: Evaluate IT systems, data management processes, and security measures to identify potential risks and ensure the integrity and security of data.

Risk Management Auditing: Assess the effectiveness of risk management processes, identify potential risks, and recommend strategies to mitigate these risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute audit engagements within the hospitality sector, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Develop audit plans, define audit scopes, and establish audit objectives.

Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.

Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and action plans.

Collaborate with management to implement and monitor corrective actions.

Ensure audits are conducted in a timely manner and within budget.

Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in auditing and risk management.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

7 to 10 years of experience in auditing within the hospitality industry, with additional experience in retail and corporate settings preferred.

Proven experience auditing HR, finance, IT, and risk management functions.

Strong understanding of auditing standards, financial regulations, and risk management practices.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are highly desirable.
