Position Overview

As an Audit & Assurance Senior, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality audit services and building strong relationships with stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to develop your capabilities in audit and assurance, contributing to the growth of Deloitte’s presence in the UAE. This position is specifically targeted at UAE Nationals.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management: Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by understanding their expectations and delivering high-quality services that consider the impact of regulations and risk management on business processes and controls.

Audit Process Management: Take responsibility for understanding key statistics and industry matters relevant to the entity before the engagement begins. Adapt and manage referral instructions to clearly outline the audit scope.

Collaboration and Coordination: Liaise effectively with onshore and offshore Centers of Excellence, ensuring accurate and complete information is provided to them. Assist in tracking deliverables from component auditors and link risks, controls, procedures, and findings effectively.

Audit Quality: Understand the audit quality milestones, ensure the completeness of milestones, and offer suggestions for performing work earlier in the audit cycle. Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and distinguishes accounting judgments from auditing judgments.

Business Understanding: Develop relationships beyond the finance function to better understand the entity's business, applying professional skepticism. Be aware of risks around the engagement lifecycle, regulatory environment, and relevant practice protection policies.

Qualifications

Educational Background: A degree in Accounting or a related field is required; a graduate degree is desired.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in public auditing and accounting, preferably with a Big Four audit firm.

Technical Skills: Ability to supervise staff, inspect client financial records, compile and analyze data, prepare detailed audit reports, and resolve accounting research issues.

Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to plan and manage engagements and people, ensuring deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines.

Certifications: An international accounting qualification is desired (CA, ACCA, or CPA), with a preference for CA.

Language Skills: Fluent in English (reading, speaking, and writing). Bilingual candidates (Arabic/English) are preferred.
