Role Overview – Ikokas is urgently hiring a Manual Tester with 1 to 2 years of experience to join their quality assurance team on a full-time, remote basis. This position is based in Noida and is ideal for detail-oriented QA professionals who have hands-on experience in manual testing, understand software testing methodologies, and are passionate about ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Manual Testing & Quality Assurance – You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive manual testing across various software applications to identify bugs, defects, and issues before product releases. Your responsibilities include creating and executing test cases, performing functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, and sanity testing to ensure applications meet quality standards and business requirements.

Test Case Design & Execution – You will design detailed test cases and test scenarios based on requirements documents, user stories, and functional specifications. You'll execute test cases systematically, document test results accurately, track defects through their lifecycle, and work closely with development teams to ensure all identified issues are resolved before deployment.

Defect Management & Reporting – You will identify, document, and report software defects with clear reproduction steps, severity levels, and supporting evidence such as screenshots or logs. You'll use defect tracking tools to log issues, follow up on bug fixes, perform retesting and verification, and maintain detailed documentation of all testing activities and outcomes.

Experience Required – 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in manual testing, software quality assurance, or related roles is mandatory. You must demonstrate practical experience in creating test cases, executing manual test scenarios, identifying defects, and working with development teams in an Agile or traditional SDLC environment.

Testing Methodologies Knowledge – Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices is essential. You should be familiar with different types of testing including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, UAT support, and have knowledge of the software development lifecycle and how quality assurance fits into the overall development process.

Technical & Analytical Skills – Good analytical and problem-solving abilities are crucial for identifying edge cases, understanding application behavior, and reproducing complex defects. You should have basic knowledge of testing tools, defect tracking systems (like JIRA, Bugzilla), and be comfortable working with web applications, mobile applications, or desktop software depending on project requirements.
