Job Description
Role Overview – Movenpick Grand Al Bustan Hotel is hiring an Assistant Sales Manager for a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. This position is ideal for experienced hospitality sales professionals with strong B2B sales expertise, relationship management capabilities, and a proven track record of driving room revenue, corporate business, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events) sales within a luxury hotel environment.
Sales and Revenue Generation – You will drive sales and revenue generation by identifying new business opportunities, prospecting corporate clients, generating leads, converting inquiries into bookings, achieving individual and team sales targets, and maximizing room revenue, F&B sales, and overall hotel profitability.
Corporate and Business Development – You will develop corporate business by building relationships with corporate travel managers, HR departments, procurement teams, and decision-makers, securing corporate rate contracts, negotiating long-term agreements, and establishing Movenpick Grand Al Bustan Hotel as the preferred accommodation partner for business travelers.
MICE Sales and Event Coordination – You will drive MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events) sales by targeting corporate meetings, conferences, training programs, product launches, gala dinners, and incentive travel groups, preparing proposals, coordinating with the events team, conducting site inspections, and securing group bookings and event business.
Leisure and Travel Trade Sales – You will support leisure and travel trade sales by building relationships with travel agents, tour operators, online travel agencies (OTAs), and wholesalers, negotiating rates and commissions, promoting hotel packages, and driving leisure group bookings and FIT (Free Independent Traveler) business.
Client Relationship Management – You will manage client relationships by maintaining regular communication with existing accounts, conducting client visits and entertainment, understanding client needs, providing personalized service, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
Lead Generation and Prospecting – You will generate leads and prospect new business by conducting market research, identifying target companies and industries, making cold calls and sales visits, attending networking events and trade shows, and building a strong sales pipeline.
Sales Presentations and Proposals – You will prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals by creating compelling offers, preparing rate quotations, developing customized packages, presenting hotel facilities and services, and negotiating terms that meet client needs while maximizing hotel revenue.
Contract Negotiation and Rate Management – You will negotiate contracts and manage rates by agreeing on corporate rates, group rates, and MICE packages, preparing rate agreements, ensuring competitive pricing aligned with market conditions, and balancing revenue optimization with client acquisition.
Account Management and Relationship Retention – You will manage key accounts and retain relationships by conducting regular account reviews, monitoring client satisfaction, addressing concerns proactively, upselling additional services, and ensuring long-term partnerships with corporate and leisure clients.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis – You will conduct market research and competitive analysis by monitoring competitor activities, analyzing market trends, identifying emerging opportunities, tracking industry developments, and providing insights to inform sales strategies and positioning.
Sales Reporting and Forecasting – You will prepare sales reports and forecasts by tracking sales activities, monitoring conversion rates, analyzing booking trends, updating sales forecasts, preparing monthly and quarterly reports, and providing insights to the Director of Sales and Revenue Management teams.
CRM and Sales System Management – You will manage CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems and sales tools by maintaining client databases, updating account information, tracking sales activities, managing contracts and correspondence, and ensuring accurate, up-to-date records for effective account management.
Collaboration with Hotel Departments – You will collaborate with hotel departments including reservations, front office, events, food and beverage, and operations by communicating client requirements, coordinating VIP arrivals, ensuring seamless service delivery, and maintaining strong internal relationships to support client satisfaction.
Site Inspections and FAM Trips – You will conduct site inspections and familiarization (FAM) trips by showcasing hotel facilities to potential clients, coordinating tours of rooms, meeting spaces, restaurants, and recreational facilities, and demonstrating the hotel's capabilities to secure bookings.
Brand Representation and Networking – You will represent Movenpick Grand Al Bustan Hotel professionally by attending industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and corporate meetings, building the hotel's reputation, and positioning the property as a leading choice in Dubai's competitive hospitality market.
