Assistant Sales Manager

Job Description

Position Overview

The Assistant Sales Manager will support the Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize hotel revenue through group bookings, corporate accounts, and leisure travel segments. This role requires a dynamic professional who can build strong client relationships and contribute to the hotel's revenue growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead generation and prospecting of new business opportunities through various channels including direct outreach, networking events, and digital platforms while maintaining detailed records of all sales activities and client interactions in the property management system

Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets across different market segments including corporate, leisure, and group bookings while analyzing market trends and competitor activities

Support the sales team in conducting property tours, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts with clients while ensuring all terms align with hotel policies and revenue goals

Manage and nurture relationships with existing corporate accounts and travel partners through regular communication, site visits, and personalized service offerings to maintain high client satisfaction and retention rates

Collaborate with various hotel departments including Operations, Revenue Management, and Events to ensure seamless execution of client requirements and maintain service excellence

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field

Minimum 3-5 years of progressive sales experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury or upscale hotel environment

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing business accounts

Strong understanding of hotel operations, revenue management principles, and industry trends

Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills

Proficiency in hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Required Skills

Strategic account planning and relationship management expertise

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays when required

Professional presentation and business etiquette

Multilingual abilities preferred
