Job Description

Leadership and Daily Operations: As an Assistant Restaurant Manager at Home Bakery, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless day-to-day operation of the restaurant. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to lead a dynamic team of servers, baristas, and supervisors, fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and passion for customer service. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining smooth shift transitions, ensuring timely service, and upholding the brand’s warm, welcoming atmosphere that Home Bakery is celebrated for.

Guest Experience and Service Standards: Delivering memorable guest experiences is at the core of everything we do. You will ensure that every customer receives exceptional hospitality by maintaining high service standards and continuously coaching your team to exceed expectations. Whether managing peak service hours or handling special events, your focus will be on ensuring that every guest feels valued, comfortable, and delighted with both food and service quality.

Staff Supervision and Training: In this role, you’ll take an active part in recruiting, training, and mentoring staff to develop their potential. You’ll assist in creating training modules that focus on customer service excellence, operational efficiency, and brand consistency. Regular feedback sessions, performance reviews, and skill enhancement programs will be part of your strategy to build a strong, motivated, and skilled team that contributes positively to the restaurant’s growth and reputation.

Financial and Cost Management: As part of the management team, you’ll assist in monitoring daily sales, managing budgets, and controlling operational costs. You’ll ensure that resources are efficiently allocated, inventories are accurately tracked, and wastage is minimized. Supporting the Restaurant Manager in preparing financial reports and analyzing performance data will help identify areas for improvement and drive profitability while maintaining Home Bakery’s commitment to quality and value.

Operational Coordination: You’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating between different departments—kitchen, service, procurement, and logistics—to ensure harmony in operations. From managing shift schedules to ensuring that all operational procedures are followed, your coordination will keep the restaurant running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll also ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the restaurant.

Customer Relationship Management: Building strong relationships with regular guests and addressing customer feedback constructively will be one of your primary responsibilities. You’ll lead by example, demonstrating how to handle guest concerns or special requests with empathy and professionalism. Your ability to transform feedback into opportunities for improvement will strengthen customer loyalty and enhance the Home Bakery brand image.

Team Motivation and Performance Improvement: You will inspire your team by creating a positive work culture rooted in accountability, communication, and recognition. Regular meetings and team-building initiatives will help keep morale high and encourage collaboration. You’ll also track individual and team performance, offering guidance and corrective action when necessary to maintain operational excellence.
