Assistant Operations Manager

Job Description

Position Overview

The Assistant Operations Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth daily operations while focusing on team training and development. This role combines operational oversight with a strong emphasis on staff development and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

Collaborate with the Operations Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations

Monitor and optimize workflow efficiency across all departments

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Implement and maintain quality control standards

Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers

Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement

Assist in budget management and cost control measures

Training & Development

Design and implement comprehensive training programs for all staff positions

Create and maintain training materials and documentation

Conduct regular training sessions focused on service excellence

Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness

Mentor team members and provide constructive feedback

Support the recruitment and onboarding of new staff

Conduct performance evaluations and development planning

Customer Service & Quality

Maintain high standards of food quality and service delivery

Address and resolve customer feedback promptly

Implement initiatives to enhance customer experience

Monitor customer satisfaction metrics

Ensure adherence to brand standards and procedures

Team Leadership

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment

Provide guidance and support to department supervisors

Facilitate effective communication between departments

Promote a culture of continuous improvement

Handle employee relations issues professionally

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in restaurant operations management

Proven track record in developing and delivering training programs

Experience in the hospitality or F&B industry

Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

Excellent leadership and team management skills

Proficiency in restaurant management software

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Desired Skills & Attributes

Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage

Experience with inventory management systems

Understanding of UAE labor laws and regulations

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Customer-focused mindset with strong conflict resolution skills
