Assistant Manager - Risk Management

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager for our Risk Management department who can provide comprehensive oversight across multiple risk domains. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior management to develop and implement risk management strategies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development and implementation of risk management frameworks and policies

Monitor and assess various types of risks including operational, financial, market, and compliance risks

Conduct risk assessments and prepare detailed risk analysis reports

Collaborate with different departments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies

Maintain risk registers and oversee the risk reporting process

Lead risk monitoring activities and ensure timely escalation of key risk indicators

Assist in developing and conducting risk management training programs

Support internal and external audit processes

Prepare and present risk management reports to senior management

Coordinate with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in risk management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Comprehensive understanding of different risk types and risk management frameworks

Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory requirements and risk management standards

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong leadership and team management abilities

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Desired Skills

Professional certifications in Risk Management (FRM, PRM, or similar)

Experience with risk management software and tools

Knowledge of Arabic

Experience in financial services or banking sector

Familiarity with Basel frameworks and international risk management standards
