Role Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and highly organized Assistant HR Manager to join our team at Mahy Khoory Group in the United Arab Emirates. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who has substantial experience in managing HR functions in a manufacturing or industrial setup. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing HR operations across factory units and ensuring HR practices align with company policies and UAE labor laws.
Key Responsibilities: The Assistant HR Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. You will oversee the recruitment lifecycle, employee engagement, retention, and workforce planning. A crucial part of this role will involve handling a blue-collar workforce of 150+ employees, ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.
Team Management & Leadership: A core component of this position involves managing and mentoring a team of two or more HR professionals. You will supervise day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensure proper delegation of tasks, and conduct performance appraisals. Leadership capabilities, motivational skills, and hands-on management are essential to success in this role.
Industrial HR Expertise: As this role is based in a factory environment, candidates must demonstrate prior experience handling industrial HR operations. These include working with ISO standards, compliance audits, health and safety policies, labor laws, and employee welfare. Preference will be given to candidates with a proven record in ISO-certified factories.
Performance and Training Management: A strong focus will be placed on performance evaluation and training development. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of setting performance indicators, conducting performance reviews, and initiating corrective action plans. You will also be responsible for identifying training needs and implementing structured learning programs to upskill the workforce.
Mobility and Flexibility: A valid UAE driving license is mandatory for this role, as the Assistant HR Manager will be expected to travel between different Emirates to oversee multiple factory locations. Flexibility and adaptability to travel and coordinate with different departments across units are crucial.
