Assistant Finance Manager

Job Description

Financial Planning and Analysis: As an Assistant Finance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the senior management in preparing comprehensive financial plans, developing forecasting models, and ensuring alignment with the company’s retail business objectives. You will analyze financial data in detail and identify trends, risks, and opportunities that directly impact decision-making processes.

Budgeting and Forecasting: A major part of this role will involve supporting the preparation and monitoring of budgets. You will work closely with department heads to ensure that financial goals are realistic, achievable, and strategically aligned with company growth. Your role will be to track variances and ensure corrective measures are recommended and implemented.

Financial Reporting: The position requires preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports to present financial performance and variances. You will also ensure compliance with established accounting principles and policies, while providing timely insights to improve performance and optimize revenue streams.

VAT Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and regulations is essential. You will assist in preparing VAT returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and managing audits when required. This also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in local legislation and ensuring the company remains fully compliant.

ERP and Systems Management: The Assistant Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth use of ERP systems (SAP preferred). You will ensure all financial transactions, reports, and reconciliations are accurately processed within the system. Your expertise in ERP tools will help streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency across the finance team.

Team Collaboration and Support: This role demands close collaboration with internal teams, such as operations, HR, and procurement, to support financial transparency across all business functions. You will also provide guidance to junior finance staff, ensuring they follow financial best practices and maintain high levels of accuracy.
