Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Art Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality art education aligned with the British Curriculum, inspiring students to explore their creative potential while developing technical skills and artistic understanding.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver engaging art lessons aligned with the British Curriculum standards

Create and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages artistic exploration and creative expression

Develop comprehensive lesson plans incorporating various artistic mediums, techniques, and art history

Assess and evaluate student progress, maintaining detailed records of achievement

Organize and curate student art exhibitions and participate in school cultural events

Maintain art supplies inventory and manage the art department budget effectively

Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across the curriculum

Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents about student progress

Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities program

Support the school's vision and values through active participation in school community events

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

Proven experience teaching art in British Curriculum schools within the UAE

Valid UAE teaching license or equivalency certification

Strong portfolio demonstrating personal artistic skills and student work

Excellent knowledge of various art techniques, materials, and art history

Proficient in using technology for art education and administrative tasks

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Art Education or related field

Experience with digital art and design tools

Additional certifications in specialized art techniques or teaching methodologies

Residency in Ajman or Sharjah

Strong classroom management and organizational skills

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Ability to differentiate instruction for various skill levels and learning styles

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
