Arabic speaking Sous Chef

Job Description

SWOT Hospitality is a renowned hospitality management company committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Our upscale restaurant, Asil Dubai, offers a fusion of traditional and modern Arabic cuisine in a sophisticated setting. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Arabic-Speaking Sous Chef to join our culinary team and contribute to the success of Asil Dubai.

Job Responsibilities:

Culinary Leadership: Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.

Menu Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop innovative and authentic Arabic-inspired dishes that reflect the concept and identity of Asil Dubai.

Food Preparation: Supervise and participate in the preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes according to established recipes and specifications.

Team Management: Lead and motivate the kitchen team to achieve excellence in food production and service. Provide guidance, training, and support to junior chefs and kitchen staff.

Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish served. Conduct regular inspections of ingredients, equipment, and kitchen facilities.

Inventory Management: Assist in managing kitchen inventory levels, including ordering and receiving of supplies, monitoring stock rotation, and minimizing waste.

Hygiene and Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, as well as health and safety regulations. Implement proper hygiene practices and sanitation procedures in the kitchen.

Customer Satisfaction: Work closely with the Front-of-House team to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of orders. Address customer feedback and strive to exceed guest expectations.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel, specializing in Arabic cuisine.

Fluent in Arabic.

Culinary degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized culinary institution.

Strong knowledge of Arabic cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors.

Creative flair and passion for innovation in culinary arts.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
