Duties & Responsibilities:

Dicetek LLC is seeking a skilled Application Server Administrator to join our team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing application servers, particularly in the banking industry, and will be responsible for installation, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various application servers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Installation / Setup: Install and configure application servers such as IBM WebSphere Application Server, Redhat JBOSS EAP, IBM HTTP Server, Redhat JBOSS Webservers, IBM MQ, and IBM App Connect Enterprise.

Configuring Servers: Configure and optimize servers to ensure they meet the operational and security requirements.

Maintenance Activities: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure server health and performance.

Deployments: Handle deployments of applications and updates on servers.

Troubleshooting and Analyzing: Troubleshoot and analyze server issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Experience & Skills:

Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Application Server Administrator, with at least 3 years of experience in the banking industry.

Technical Skills:

Strong shell/bash scripting skills.

Proficient in operating systems such as AIX, Linux, and Windows.

Experience with application server maintenance activities.

Certified IBM Application Server Administrator.

Banking Industry Knowledge: Must have experience working on critical banking systems like Core Banking and Digital Banking.

Change Management: Thorough understanding and experience with change management procedures.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
