About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AML Transaction Monitoring Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This senior position will be responsible for overseeing the bank's Anti-Money Laundering strategy implementation within the First Line of Defense, ensuring robust detection and prevention of money laundering activities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the execution and enhancement of the bank's Group-wide Anti-Money Laundering strategy

Review and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to Group MLRO for CBUAE reporting

Manage Central Bank UAE audits and process walkthroughs

Develop and deliver AML training programs for both onshore and offshore team members

Provide expert guidance on AML controls and compliance to international regions

Oversee the evaluation and optimization of transaction monitoring systems and tools

Collaborate with technology teams to assess and enhance surveillance system capabilities

Lead and mentor a large team across multiple locations

Technical Skills & Knowledge

In-depth understanding of global AML/CTF regulations and sanctions requirements

Proficiency in transaction monitoring and control testing methodologies

Strong knowledge of financial crime typologies and risk management

Experience with AML surveillance systems and screening tools

Understanding of international banking operations and compliance frameworks

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Management, Banking, Finance, or related field

ACAMS certification

12-15 years of banking experience, with minimum 5 years in AML/Group Compliance

Demonstrated expertise in global sanctions and AML/CTF regulations

Proven track record of managing large teams across multiple locations
