Admin Assistant (Operations and Building Maintenance)

Job Description

Ajman American Private School is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Admin Assistant specializing in operations and building maintenance. This position is integral to ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities and providing a safe, efficient, and supportive environment for students and staff alike.


Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

Coordinate daily administrative and operational tasks to support the school’s activities.

Maintain a schedule of building maintenance, ensuring timely inspections and repairs.

Liaise with vendors and service providers for supplies, maintenance, and other operational needs.

Building Maintenance:


Oversee the upkeep of school facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Manage building equipment and maintenance logs.

Address and resolve any building-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions to school activities.

Administrative Support:

Assist in maintaining records, files, and reports related to operations and maintenance.

Provide support in procurement and inventory management for maintenance-related items.

Handle inquiries and communicate effectively with staff and other stakeholders regarding operational matters.

Compliance and Safety:


Ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards in all building operations.

Conduct periodic checks to ensure facilities are in optimal condition.

Assist in preparing the school for inspections and audits.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an American curriculum school is required.

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is mandatory.

Equivalency certification is preferred.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
