Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist with strong expertise in Letters of Credit (LC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in trading or manufacturing industries and demonstrate excellent financial management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and process all accounts receivable transactions

Handle Letters of Credit (LC) documentation and processing

Monitor customer account balances and payment status

Follow up on overdue payments and resolve payment discrepancies

Prepare and analyze AR aging reports

Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies

Process customer payments and maintain payment records

Coordinate with sales team regarding customer credit limits

Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

Generate monthly AR reports for management review

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Proven experience in accounts receivable in trading or manufacturing sector

Expert knowledge of LC operations and documentation

Strong understanding of UAE banking and trade finance procedures

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel

Experience with financial reporting and analysis

Essential Skills

Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities

Excellent communication skills in English

Strong organizational and time management skills

Problem-solving and negotiation abilities

Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations

ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

Professional accounting certification (ACCA, CMA, etc.)

Knowledge of Arabic language

Experience with ERP systems

Understanding of international trade finance
